Materials: Bic Mechanical Pencils, Georgia Pacific Multipurpose Copy Paper, Georgia Pacific Cardstock, Microtek Visioneer Scanner, Wacom Graphire4 Tablet, Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Corel painter 8.0

Method: Generally I start all of my artwork by making a rough pencil sketch on multipurpose copier paper, then I use a small light table to re-draw the image onto a thicker peice of cardstock using only a mechanical pencil to 'ink' or create a clean version of the drawing. Then, the work is scanned into my computer, any specks of dust are cleaned up in Adobe Photoshop and the line-layer seperated from the white paperbackground then I either color it in Adobe Photoshop or Corel Painter depending on what coloring style I am going for and then clean up the final peice in Adobe Photoshop.

Biography: I was born in 1983 in a sleepy coastal town in Oregon, promptly 5 minutes before my identical twin sister, grew up there on the coast, graduated high school, attended some college at the local community college and came to work in the telecommunications industry. During that time I worked in the local Art Museum teaching classes on Japanese Illustration for grades 5-12, featured my art in several local galleries but eventually ended up moving elsewhere in Oregon for my day job in telecommunications. I continue to work int he telecommunications industry while writing and publishing my novels and working on my various art projects in my free time. I currently live alone with my two cats (Kyoshiro & Princess Dusty Bunny).
